Liev pushed Jack over towards the computer, and they both slammed off the desk.

“What are you doing? We had a deal.”

“Let’s get one thing straight boy. We didn’t have a deal and whatever you agreed with Ava, you got.” Liev said, feeling odd to say the words he knew he was about to say.

“So, what’s all this for then?”

“Welcome to your new home.”

“What do mean, new home?”

Liev pulled out the black box and waved it at Jack.

“Do you see this?” Liev said.

“Yes, so what.”

“There is enough explosive in here to blow this place to high heaven, but I’m going to cut you a little slack and just blow the shaft up.”

“You wouldn’t. Would you?”

“I hate grasses and you my little friend are going to enjoy a little stay here for a while.”

Jack got up and went to lunge at Liev, but he fired a shot close to him, and he leant back on the desk.

“Don’t be a smart ass. I could kill you right now, but I quite like you. I am going to give you a little break and hey, if you can find a way out, then good luck. You wronged me, and I will be collecting so you just sit there and be a good boy.”

“You can’t just leave me here! I will die.”

Liev backed his way out the door and closed it on his way out. He shot out the lock and although it could still be easy to break open, it would give him enough time to get out after planting the bomb on the ladder.
